RVs are the perfect way to turn a camping trip into a luxurious experience, and RV shows are an excellent way to explore your options. That said, they can be pretty overwhelming, so it’s easy to get lost or forget to ask for important details. We here at Allan Dale Trailers & RVs want to make sure you get exactly what you came for, so we’ve put together some important questions for you to ask at your next RV show. To learn more, or to see the RVs we have for sale, contact our stores in Red Deer and Edmonton, Alberta, today!

To People At The Booths

Your primary contact at many of these shows will be the folks manning the booths. They can get you in touch with dealerships, give you model information, and more! Start by asking them what their company’s new updates include, since they’re likely showcasing a number of specific upgrades and advantages.

Then ask about the deals they’re offering. RV shows are a great place to find special bargains and promotions, so ask if there are any being offered. You might just get a hefty discount from the normal sticker price, with some added bonuses to boot!

To Fellow RVers

The people at the booths are great resources, but they’re obviously biased towards their employers. Ask fellow RVers and other show-goers about their own recommendations. Start by asking specifically which booths and seminars they recommend. If you find someone with plenty of RV experience, they might know which events and people at the show are most worth your time.

You can also ask them what they recommend in an RV. Anyone who’s been using RVs for years on end has probably run into blindspots in the design, pros and cons to certain features and add-ons, and more. They might also know about features and options most people don’t, like a secret menu item at your favorite fast food restaurant.

In general

Finally, you’ll want to get information about the next show in your area. If you’re willing to drive a bit, chances are there will be another show relatively nearby in the days or weeks to come. Keep in mind, though, that with the pandemic, shows might be harder to find. Some venues have offered virtual events, which can drastically increase the number of RV shows you can find. If you do find an in-person show to attend, ask beforehand what restrictions and rules they’ve put in place to stop the spread of the virus.

We hope this guide helps you prepare for your next RV show! If you have any questions, or you’d like to see our RVs instead, contact us at Allan Dale’s Trailers & RVs. We proudly serve the people of Alberta—let us serve you today!
